BA-Messtechnik produces IN LINE Measurement Systems for diameter and shape of fibres, wires, rods, pipes, profiles... from 0,1 mm to 1000 mm dia and more.

Measurement is optically = contactless of the products in the process.

Depending of type and size of gauge we use laser scanner – known by the trademark “Laser Diameter“ – and cameras with back light. To measure products up to 200 mm dia. and at normal ambient conditions we offer our QS-Line gauges. Gauges with fixed axis are usually not suited for flat and squared materials and for the determination of profile and ovality of tubes. Therefore BA-Messtechnik developed oscillating gauges and rotating gauges.

Application of rotating gauges is usually in rolling mills. Because of the extremly harsh conditions experienced in steel mills our IN LINE measurement equipment has been especially designed to operate continuously giving precise measurement.

Our new “Light Section” – system type LS XX are using the “Reflected light/Reflex”-principle. Sensors consisting of laserline-projection and high resolution matrix cameras combine with sophisticated software measure even complex profiles with convex and concave features precisely.
