BA-Messtechnik developed a new generation of gauges to measure IN LINE the thickness of flat products. Main application are steel and metal industries. But all other materials as plastics, rubber... can be measured, too.

Measuring of thickness is made contactless by optical sensors. High-precision laser-triangulation sensors are mounted at a temperature-stabilized frame below and above the passing flat products. Measurement accuracy is typically one thousand of the measurement range, measurement frequency is up to 10 kHz.
